As has already been said we saw some pretty shocking prices next to beef and beef products. After talking to the shop assistants just to make sure we can confirm that these out of this world prices next to the beef were indeed the correct beef prices.

The most shocking price for us remains Choppies price tag on beef bones which were selling for $50.00-not meat just a pile of white bones so clean they looked bleached.

  • A lot of shops did not have much meat, it could be the drought
  • It would be interesting to see how much meat shops are going to be able to sell at those prices
  • Civil servants are the largest formally employed group in the country, they will struggle to pay that
