Despite all the prices changes taking place in Zimbabwe at the moment, the chicken still remains by far, the most popular favourite meat. Way ahead of much expensive beef and Kapenta which is looked down upon.
Unfortunately even chicken will soon be beyond the reach of many. The price of chicken has increased by around 50% and in some cases slightly more than this. By the end of August, a kilogram of chicken cuts was selling for just under $20 in most supermarkets. The price has since risen to just over $30 for the same.

- You are strongly advised to buy packaged chicken i.e. Irvines, Baba John’s etc instead of chicken in kaylites. Chicken in kaylites can be many times expensive
