There was a time when Zimbabwe was the breadbasket of Africa. Those days are long gone along with the large commercial farms that were the backbones of that basket. Instead, small farms that are mostly subsistent in nature have cropped up. Some large commercial operations operated by passionate farmers still exist, however.
