Recently Vice President Kembo Mohadi presided over the official opening of Pembi Bridge in Mashonaland Central. Reports of the event caused outrage on social media when one Twitter user claimed that the bridge had been constructed at a total cost of US$1.8 million. However according to the Herald the cost of constructing the bridge was $16 million (presumably ZWL) in which case the total cost would be about US$234 000.
