According to the Ministry of Health confirmed Covid-19 cases now stand at 25 following a total of 2851 screening and diagnostic tests done to date. On 19 April the following number of tests were conducted:
- Harare – 167
- Manicaland -7
- Midlands – 24
- Mat North – 2
- Bulawayo – 25
The number of cases are split among provinces as follows:
- Harare – 10
- Bulawayo – 10
- Matebeleland North – 1
- Mashonaland East – 4
Things to note
Case number 25 is said to be a recent returnee from France. The Zimbabwean citizen returned on the 14th of April showing no signs of Covid-19. She was quarantined and later tested positive and was admitted to Beatrice Hospital.
Another individual who was previously reported under Manicaland cases because of their resident address is now being reported under Harare cases as they were a returnee with a Mutare address but they are being held in Harare for treatment.
