For years the Zimbabwean industry has failed to meet the needs of Zimbabweans, leaving a number of enterprising individuals to become cross border traders. These individuals, as well as shoppers in general, often go to Musina, an increasingly important hub.

7 of these brave souls recently died in an accident. According to South African Police, the deceased who were from Chiredzi in the Lowveld were aboard the Toyota Fortuner which on Sunday night rammed into the side of a truck on the N1 between Musina and Beitbridge.

The seven, deceased have been identified as:

  • Gilbert Mahonolwa (50),
  • the driver, Sunday Winston (28),
  • Morris Tanyanago (62),
  • Sharon Nyathi (25),
  • Kudzai Chirengende (24), and
  • Babies:
    • Shelter Muzwidziwa (3)
    • Tanyanago Ngaakudzwe (1)
