With Zimbabweans having to contend between starvation and getting sick from COVID the majority are choosing to go out and hustle. However, the number of COVID new daily cases remain high with the country recording 733 new cases yesterday (20 January 2021). According to the Ministry of Health, they have also received 54 COVID related death reports.

Deaths across the 10 provinces were as follows:

  • Mashonaland West – 2
  • Mashonaland Central  – 4
  • Harare  – 26
  • Midlands – 1
  • Matebeleland North – 1
  • Mashonaland East – 9
  • Manicaland – 6
  • Bulawayo – 4
  • Masvingo – 1
  • Matabeleland South 0

Harare also led with the highest number of cases with the new 733 cases spread as follows:

  • Bulawayo 37
  • Harare 242
  • Manicaland 112
  • Mashonaland Central 60
  • Mashonaland West 48
  • Mashonaland East 68
  • Midlands 35
  • Masvingo 76
  • Matabeleland North 33
  • Matabeleland South 22
