Yesterday ZESA warned customers that load-shedding was going back to stage 2. This will see us without power for about 18 hours each day with power coming late in the night when most people are asleep.

Now ZESA has issued a public notice that load-shedding will now go beyond the extended schedules. This means that additional areas that are normally spared from powercuts such as town and city CBDs will no longer be spared.

We saw this yesterday and today as well. The entire Southerton Industrial area was without power with companies such as Hunyani and Blue Ribbon relying on generators. Today large parts of town were without power in Harare CBD.
