When it comes to carbonated drinks in Zimbabwe there are just currently two major players: Varum who are in charge of the Pepsi, Mirinda, Mountain Dew and related brands and Delta who are in charge of the Coca-cola brands. There are other smaller players such as Twist but their market share is quite small. Leading sweets maker, Arenel plans to change that says one Twitter user who is privy to the company’s plans.

In fact, these drinks are already popular with shoppers due to their budget-friendly prices. Perhaps Arenel were encouraged by this success and want to double-down.
