Earlier this week cabinet resolved that driving schools and the Vehicle Inspection Department (VID) resume operations. This was after the government had shut down both during the January lockdown after a surge in cases during the second-wave. The VID has now announced that they will start operations today-Saturday 27 March 2021.

If you can recall, the driving schools were the most hit in terms of operations during the lockdown since last year.

Recently, they have been allowed to commence their operations this coming Saturday on the 27th of March 2021.

They have been allowed to resume their business operations during this recent Cabinet meeting.

My Ministry is seized with the issue and it also came through the Association of Driving Schools, to say yes, this is a pandemic and it is not according to our own making that we could not go for the lessons, testing and so forth. So, we are seized with that matter.
