Also, it’s always better to use their mobile banking app as it offers a better experience compared to using USSD. Their mobile banking platform is free if you are using an Econet line. You can use it even if you have no data.

NMB Bank has just issued a notice (5 October 2021) on its social media page warning their customers on Econet that they could face issues when trying to access their banking services via the USSD code *241#. It’s not clear what’s causing the issue but the bank says it’s working to restore service. A lot of Zimbabweans rely on USSD services instead of internet banking apps due to the high cost of data. However, it is important to know that you can use NMB’s banking app for free on Econet.
