As we are now firmly in hyperinflation territory, prices continue to go up on a daily basis. It is now common to see 100% price hikes. Businesses have to grapple with weekly fuel price increases, exchange rate movements as well as the latest ZESA tariff hike. ZESA has now promised to review their tariff at the end of every month.

- The price of almost went up. Strangely the price of sugar has not changed this week.
- Royco and Karinga soup powders hadn’t seen a price adjustment in a while, now their prices have almost doubled in a week
- The cooking oil shortage continues. Most supermarkets were not carrying cooking oil
- Geisha was missing in all shops except OK
- Of the two most popular bath soaps, Geisha and Jade, Foodworld had none
- Image bath soap used to be popular and everywhere now it’s nowhere, we haven’t seen in a whole month. It’s time we remove it from our list.
- Clean O and Spotless are two popular and cheap all-purpose cleaners, you know Handy Andy equivalents, they were missing/in low stocks in a lot of shops
- Thai Rice is hard to find
- The price of green bar doubled in a week
