This week ZIMSTAT announced that the implied annual inflation had hit the 400% mark while month on month inflation for October had more than doubled from September’s levels. We insist this is historical.

Unlike ZIMSTAT we focus on current prices and from what we are seeing inflation has slowed down as evidenced by this week’s prices compared to last week’s. We noticed the spike in prices back in October and knew this would eventually be reflected on the ZIMSTAT figures.

The current slow down will naturally also register in December when figures for November are finally released by ZIMSTAT. We can state with certainty that inflation has slowed down and will probably go down to September levels at least in November.
