A couple of years ago the government of Zimbabwe passed a law that makes it illegal to install electric geysers in homes. This means that if your house did not have an electric geyser before this law was passed you are no longer allowed to install one. The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) instead encourages people to install water geysers but it seems adoption has rather been low. To help with this, ZERA is conducting a course near Masvingo next month to train those who want to learn about designing and installing solar water heaters.
