According to ZESA’s Fullard Gwasira, the units at Hwange that tripped over the weekend have now been brought back online. This means that load-shedding will probably go back to the Stage 1 load-shedding we have been experiencing the past few weeks.
Over the weekend, we woke up to the terrible news we have become sort of accustomed to. Some units at Hwange had tripped and failed due to some technical issue. The result was ZESA going back to the punitive stage 2 load shedding were we would spend 18 hours without power.
Now it seems we are probably going back to stage 1 load-shedding instead of the dreaded stage 2 load-shedding we were subjected to some back in September when we would spend up to 18 hours without power.
