In a series of posts the Harare City Council has said that they have cut water supplies to Glen View as they conduct a series of repairs. In recent days water supply in various High Density suburbs including Mbare and Kuwadzana has been erratic.

It’s not clear what type of meters are being installed. Other city councils have been embarking on a drive to install prepaid meters in a bid to enhance revenue collection which they claim will improve service delivery and quality of service. Experience with ZESA has shown that there is really no correlation between prepaid meters and better service. The current drought will mean there will probably be water rationing in the future anyway.
