Eskom has announced stage 3 load-shedding this weekend as a result of breakdowns and maintenance. Zimbabwe still relies heavily on Eskom to supplement its own massive power deficit. Eskom has always said they will not export power until their own internal needs are met.

This means that we are likely to see ZESA receiving less power imports from South Africa during this period. As a result, load-shedding will likely be more extensive and longer than the punitive stage two we are going through at the moment.
