As cases of the coronavirus continue to rise in Zimbabwe with the latest tally being over 2 800 and deaths standing at 40, the business world has also suffered. Banks, hospitals, ministry buildings, NSSA and supermarkets have had to close their branches as employees tested positive and buildings had to be disinfected. The latest business case is that of ZBC who have just announced that their Pocketshill studio has recorded a case and will be disinfected soon.
LATEST: ZBC wishes to advise that a positive #Covid-19 case has been confirmed at Pockets Hill. @MoHCCZim [Ministry of Health] guidance on contact tracing, disinfection and testing being implemented. Visitors not allowed until further notice and normal programming will also be affected.

The state broadcaster has not yet revealed how many people tested positive. The Ministry of Health has also expressed concern over a spike in local cases which have continued to rise. The ministry has said they are investigating the origin of each case but it seems contact tracing in a country such as Zimbabwe has been one of the problems the country is facing. Most local cases are blamed by some on escapees from quarantine centers set up to isolate returnees.
