Do You Live In One Of These Towns? Then You Probably Have ZOL Mibroniks Coverage

Two days ago Econet hiked it’s data and WhatsApp bundles to new lofty heights- beyond the reach of many mortal-men. To be honest I really stopped caring about Econet’s data bundles a long time ago. A year ago to be exact. When I decided to join ZOL’s Wibroniks family.

Back then there was a hurdle for most people. To get Wibroninks you had to pay hundreds (now thousands) of dollars to cover the equipment charge. Then ZOL introduced their miBroniks deal. Mibroniks is ZOL’s mobile WiFi/LTE offering. To begin with a customer has two options:

1. Buy a mobile WiFi device from ZOL or use their own compatible device or
2. Bring their own supported phone or phablet (tablet)

To determine whether your phone can support ZOL or not you can just do a manual network search within a covered area. If you can see the ZOL LTE network then your phone can probably support ZOL mibroniks. In any case you can always go with your phone to the nearest ZOL office. If it’s not supported then you can go for option 1.

ZOL Coverage

Coverage is available in Bindura,Norton, Chinhoyi, Kariba, Chegutu, Marondera, Bulawayo, Plumtree, Victoria Falls, Gwanda, Beitbridge, Hwange, Mutare, Rusape, Triangle, Masvingo, Nyanga, Chiredzi and Chitungwiza. If you must really know, yes Harare is covered, like seriously isn’t that so obvious.

The benefits of ZOL mibroniks

With mibroniks you get free unlimited WhatsApp. Which means whatever data you use for WhatsApp does not count towards your consumption and if you run out of data you can keep in touch with your WhatsApp contacts.

ZOL’s data is not cheap to be honest considering people’s income hasn’t been going up inline with inflation. However it is much much affordable compared to Econet’s data. How affordable?
